Sport is important to us at Selwyn. We offer a variety of sports that are played during school as well as after school and on the weekends.

Maylene Meroiti (Whaea Maylene) is our sports coordinator and she can be contacted via email sport@selwynschool.school.nz or by phone 0273470083. Maylene is based in the Office beside Room 10.

Communication about sport is normally via our school Facebook page. Paper pānui are often sent home in conjunction with Facebook posts.

We enjoy great whānau support with many coaches and managers coming from our parents and whānau. Full support and guidance is given.

One day interschool tournaments weekly competitions include : touch, rippa rugby, netball, miniball/basketball, futsal, flippaball (water polo), hockey, cricket, rugby league 9s, rugby 7s, tough guy/girl, amazing race, mini marathon
