Te Mātāpuna

Welcome to Te Mātāpuna, our Rumaki Māori setting. We offer classes from Year 0-8 in 2025!! No need to change for Intermediate.

This is an area in which students learn to speak, or enhance their ability to speak te reo. 

So what is Rumaki - Total Immersion?

• 81-100% of teacher talk and instruction is in te reo, meaning that some talk is in English. No student will be left to flounder and not understand.
• Te Reo is the priority language.
• A strong culture of tuakana-teina exists.

In 2025 we will have 5 kaiako to begin and will add a 6th during the year. We also have three kaiarahi reo guiding the learning of the 115 students in Te Mātāpuna
